Cambridge Audio unveils upmarket pre/power amp combo for 2008

Cambridge Audio is going upmarket with its new stereo pre/power amp combo, the £750 Azur 840E preamp and £1000 840W power amp.

The company describes the 840E as "a high-end preamplifier" which uses proprietary Terrapin modules for "unprecedented audio fidelity".

The 840W power amp (below) uses an evolution of Cambridge Audio's Class XD (crossover displacement) technology for "a highly detailed, naturally musical performance".

KEF,s new XQ speaker range now available

KEF's new XQ speaker range is now going into the shops. Prices start at £700/pr for the cute little XQ10s (left), and go all the way up to the £2000/pr XQ40 three-way floorstander, with a £750 centre speaker also available.

Cambridge Audio TT50 turntable available now for £350

Cambridge Audio's new TT50 turntable is on sale at £350.

The TT50 was designed in conjunction with turntable specialist Pro-ject, but Cambridge Audio claims it's more than a re-badging exercise, having developed some key components itself.
